Jessie playing Hendrix -

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3803336785965713106&hl=en

She's been working on this song, Jelly 292, for awhile now. Her new teacher helped her refine it. Enjoy!

Mason's birthday party

Mason had his 6th birthday party at McDonald's. He invited lots of friends from school and the towers. The Japanese host played bingo with the kids. She was so cute when she messed up the numbers. She'd keep apologizing for her mistakes. Mason had a great time celebrating!

Update..

It's been a few weeks since I've posted anything. Just thought I'd come online and get everyone caught up. It's basketball season and it's crazy at the Middleton house. Matt and I are coaching both Jessie's and Mason's team. Youth Sports was so desperate for coaches they worked out our game schedule so they wouldn't overlap. Both are doing very well. Jessie had played a few season and loves the fast pace of the game. Mason just loves running around.

Take care all!

NEO PARK

Our adventure for this weekend was Neo Park. It is like a mini zoo. There are exotic birds, fish, monkeys, and tortoises etc. Definitely not a San Diego Zoo. The San Diego zoo animals are definitely spoiled. These animals didn't have the plush living conditions like the US zoos provide.

Our friends, Susie, Devon, and Brett came along, too. The kids had a great time! Their favorite was riding the tortoises.

9TH ESB BALL

Matt and I had a blast last night at the ball. We danced the night away! Matt's troops tried to get him intoxicated. They were shocked that such an "old" man could hold his liquor!

3rd MLG Officer's Ball - Nov. 4th, 2006

Well, it's ball season again. I definately enjoyed this one more than the all ranks ball from last year. It's just nicer without drunk young ones making fools of themselves. Matt and I had a great time. The food was pretty good, music was lively, and the company at our table was pleasant. We danced and laughed the night away.

Ball #2 next week. I'll keep you all posted.

Shisa Festival videos...

I forgot I had some video of the festival. Mind you these were taken with my digital cameras, so the quality is not great. It's amazing to watch how the dogs are full of character. Enjoy!

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween in Okinawa was definately different from anything I've ever experienced. The kids have a great set up here. They hit all 3 towers. They'd start at the 9th floor and work their way down. There are 54 houses in each tower. Candy was everywhere!! After the kids hit the towers they moved over to the multiplex houses. The kids had a blast and their little legs were tired. In the picture, Mason is the ninja and Jessie is the grey zombie.
